Melissa's friend Sarah hosted a lovely co-ed shower in her back yard in SW Portland. This will be one blinged-out baby! Hope it likes to play tennis!

Danni and Jesse got married in Welches and again I was assisting photographer Colleen Zobel. In the fourth photo, you can see a pink circle around the bouquet, which is waaaay up high - Danni has quite an arm! The groomsmen kidnapped Danni and drove off with her at one point. Scott & Tricia

Scott & Tricia got married at the Oaks Pioneer Church in Sellwood. They had some really cute flower girls and ring bearers who did a VERY thorough job making sure that petals got placed all over the aisle. They even went back for a second run through to be sure they didn't miss any spots.

Quilts for the CARES NW Quilts for Kids Lunch

Ashland to Photograph Bonnie Raitt

OK, so there aren't any photos of Bonnie Raitt posted here. I had to sign a contract with her people saying I wouldn't use any of them for my own personal advertising - or for anything pretty much - so I'm sticking to it. I really enjoyed getting to see her show from our fabulous seats in the 4th row, middle. After the show, she met with people who had made donations to the Democratic Party of Oregon and I got to take her photo with each person - plus I snuck in for one, too. She was absolutely lovely!

Shaban and I met up with Lisa, her sister Pat and her boyfriend Jeff at the Lithia Springs Hotel and Spa in Ashland and made a long weekend out of the trip. We went to see a Shakespeare play, we ate a BUNCH and we soaked in the magical waters of Lithia Springs. We also visited with Lugnut's dad and Kate. It was a great Labor Day!

Looking Back - Friday in Denver

I had to get up early one last time on Friday to run down to Studio 08 and download my last photos. I then went back to the room and slept until checkout time. I had plenty of time before my flight, so I went downtown to pick up some Obama items. I thought they might be on sale since the Convention was over, but no such luck. I got a couple of overpriced t-shirts and some buttons anyway. (My favorite button was one my roommate, Jane, gave me: "Ask me how many houses I own!") I also got a couple of nice photos of the capitol building and library. My flight arrived in Portland at 9:30pm and my beloved was waiting for me to help me carry my bags home. (My camera bag is the size of a carry on suitcase.) The next morning, we took off on a 5 hour drive to Ashland, Oregon…
