Spring Winemaker Dinners

This was my fifth year to photograph winemaker dinners for the Classic Wines Auction. I truly enjoy checking out Portland's swanky restaurants and photographing the chefs in action.

Hong Kong - Tian Tan Buddha

The Tian Tan Buddha was the world's tallest outdoor bronze seated Buddha prior to 2007.

Hong Kong - Po Lin Monastery

One guide book described the Po Lin Monastery as a "must do" place to pray. The quantity of incense being burned was impressive.

Hong Kong - Ocean Park Pandas

We didn't see any of these pandas actually move. The most they did was eat and it appeared that their food had been placed within reach so they wouldn't have to go far.

Hong Kong - Ocean Park

We came to Ocean Park for the Pandas, but we stayed for the sharks! We were just 3 minutes behind the 100 millionth guest that day and got to see the celebration.

Hong Kong - Cityscapes

February is a good time to visit Hong Kong. The weather was mild (mid-60's every day) and there weren't a lot of tourists. Unfortunately, it was a bit foggy most of the time...

Hong Kong - Year of the Rabbit

We arrived in Hong Kong just as the celebrations for the Year of the Rabbit were finishing up. The rabbits, orange trees and chrysanthemums were being thrown away...

Hong Kong - Nan Lian Garden

The Nan Lian garden was inspiring. I can only imagine how much work it took to keep the trees pruned so precisely...

Hong Kong - Other Images

A beverage for every activity.

Michelle made "hot pot" for us!
