Zoolala

The Zoolala benefit for the Oregon Zoo was something else! People wandered around the zoo watching the animals (who got special treats to help keep them active in the evening), tasting wine and eating delicious treats from Portland's best restaurants while musicians, casino dealers, carnival games and acrobats provided entertainment. Wow!

Victoria & Vancouver

We spent a long weekend and drove/ferried up to Victoria and Vancouver, BC. We got great weather and ate fabulous food. Plus we got to visit with my college buddy and his son. If it weren't for them, we might have missed seeing Victoria's Bug Zoo. Here are some highlights of the trip.

Breakfast with Anita Hill

What a wonderful opportunity to get to meet Anita Hill! She spoke at the Courageous Voice breakfast benefiting Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon. Secretary of State Kate Brown and Congressman Kurt Schrader got to shake her hand. Rep. Mary Nolan received recognition for her longtime efforts on behalf of the pro-choice movement. A great morning event!

ISES - "Pimp My Warehouse - Portlandia" Highlights

The ISES "Pimp My Warehouse" event had "Portlandia" as a theme and they did a great job with it! There were birds, bikes, clowns and food carts.

The centerpieces were provided by East West Floral Arts.

The vintage video games and foosball were provided by Team Casino.

The whole thing was a hoot! Great job, everyone!
