C & Z Get Hitched!

C and Z had the perfect weather for an backyard wedding and everyone had a splendid time dancing to the blue grass band and dining on organic treats. I especially liked taking pictures of the "wedding pies" that were baked by a friend. I was invited to help photograph ("second shoot") this wedding by Joni Shimabukuro. Check our her website/blog.

Zoolala

The Zoolala benefit for the Oregon Zoo was something else! People wandered around the zoo watching the animals (who got special treats to help keep them active in the evening), tasting wine and eating delicious treats from Portland's best restaurants while musicians, casino dealers, carnival games and acrobats provided entertainment. Wow!

Victoria & Vancouver

We spent a long weekend and drove/ferried up to Victoria and Vancouver, BC. We got great weather and ate fabulous food. Plus we got to visit with my college buddy and his son. If it weren't for them, we might have missed seeing Victoria's Bug Zoo. Here are some highlights of the trip.

Breakfast with Anita Hill

What a wonderful opportunity to get to meet Anita Hill! She spoke at the Courageous Voice breakfast benefiting Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon. Secretary of State Kate Brown and Congressman Kurt Schrader got to shake her hand. Rep. Mary Nolan received recognition for her longtime efforts on behalf of the pro-choice movement. A great morning event!
