Bonnet House in Ft. Lauderdale

According to the Bonnet House website: "Due to the threat posed by inappropriately massive nearby development, the National Trust and the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation designated Bonnet House as one of America’s 11 most endangered sites in 2008." Apparently, the land around the house is the only undeveloped beachfront site between Miami and West Palm Beach and can easily be spotted from an airplane. It was a lovely place to spend a day chasing swans...
